High Road is a film about two paracyclists. On the surface, it might seem like a story about loss. But from the beginning, the intent was never to tell a story about loss or prosthetic legs turning pedals of a bike.

Cannondale wanted to open its brand to be more inclusive and approachable, but I sought to ensure our subjects were not seen as “other”. To confine them to a particular community label would be a disservice to them, to cycling and, dare I say, to humanity.

High Road is a testament to Dr. Meg Fisher’s resolve, and her incredible character, as she makes space for the next generation of riders. Her mentee and physical therapy patient, Jack Berry, is a young reflection of Meg. His boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm fuel his adventurous pursuits. His story, like Meg’s, feels inextricably intertwined with loss. But High Road is a story of strength.

The short documentary and editorial story anchored a brand campaign for Cannondale, championing their new mantra to make cycling more accessible and inclusive. While the film is about cycling, it is a story that reminds us of the scars, inside and out, which challenge all of us to keep riding and find our why.
